LiveWire’s Radio Chatter: Strengths & Weaknesses of the Different Content Creation Platforms
Tiktok 10 minute videos: Tiktok’s creation tool is amazing for being free and having the widest selection of filters that you are able to use as many different ones in a single video, the only annoying thing to me is why aren’t we able to use two filters at one time, I know it might be limited by the available ram of the phone, but I don’t see how it couldn’t be used on newer phones, like the newer galaxies and iphones. The bare minimum that should be possible is to be able to green screen with one other filter active. The problem is that the company is based in china, most of it’s users aren’t, and they seem to react very poorly to any criticism or problems on the app with false reports and inconsistent t.o.s. Guidelines.

Youtube Create Content Option: In the youtube app, there is very little options of what you are able to do besides a basic green screen feature and few other very basic features in the app, youtube hasn’t updated this for a while at least last time I bothered to check it, there just wasn’t a reason to since a rival app like tiktok is constantly updating and releasing new features inside their app with filters and the only downside is that I can only record up to three minutes and have to chain the videos together with iMovie. There’s a reason when you scroll through youtube shorts or reels on facebook and instagram that most of them are just reuploaded from tiktok, since in my mind’s eye that tiktok had the best creation features, automatically downloads a copy of the video you just published, and the only downside is that it watermarks the video, but I haven’t seen that be a big deal with anybody yet.
Anchor Lack of Video Podcast Option On Mobile Devices: Okay, first and foremost anchor is by far the EASIEST WAY TO START AND UPLOAD A PODCAST FOR FREE, THERE ARE A FEW HICCUPS THAT I DOUBT THEY CONSIDER THOUGH, ONE IS THAT YOU ARE ONLY ABLE TO RECORD UP TO TWO HOURS OF AUDIO PER EPISODE, WITH TWO SEGMENTS WHERE EACH IS UP TO 60 MINUTES IN LENGTH. SPOTIFY BOUGHT OUT ANCHOR AND THEY ALLOW YOU TO USE SONGS IN THEIR LIBRARY IN THEIR EPISODES BUT I DON’T THINK THAT IS THE SMARTEST THING SINCE I FEEL YOU WILL GET COPYRIGHT STRUCK, I’M MORE CAUTIOUS AFTER DEALING WITH YOUTUBE’S BOTS FOR FOUR YEARS NOW. THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THEM IS WHY CAN’T I RECORD/UPLOAD VIDEO PODCASTS IN THEIR APP? WHY CAN’T I, THIS IS 2022 FOR GOD SAKES, I MAKE ALL OF MY CONTENT WITH MY SMARTPHONE THAT I SPENT 1200 ON SO WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT THIS, SPOTIFY? ANCHOR IS LIKE 90% GOOD, JUST ADD THIS FEATURE TO THE STUPID APP, TO UPLOAD A “VIDEO PODCAST” I HAVE TO DO IT FROM MY COMPUTER, AND THAT MAKES NO SENSE.
Jarod’s Corner: Luke & I discuss a variety of topics from alien stories to environmental issues. During these podcasts its fascinating to break down all the details and give our two cents on them. For the podcast involving environmental issues like tires in the ocean or pollution’s effects, it’s interesting to see the cause and effect relationships between human actions and our effects on the environment. Even when we as mankind try to make a positive impact, it can backfire. Like everything in life, its a learning experience. Just as it is with Luke and I during these podcasts. We try to figure out interesting topics to discuss, different formats to use, and different ways to get our content out there to you the listeners. We are still learning through trial and error but we will continue to persevere and grow. Thank you for tuning in! I hope you enjoyed our past content and continue to enjoy our new podcasts. Recommended Video Game + Why: DAYZ IS A VERY CONFLICTED RECOMMENDATION OF MINE SINCE I BOTH LOVE AND HATE THE GAME, IF YOU GOOGLE THE GAME YOU WILL SEE IT CAME OUT IN 2013 TO MIXED RECEPTION AND SINCE IT MAY HAVE BEEN MADE BY BETHESDA, IN MY OWN EXPERIENCE IT HAS BEEN VERY BUGGY. THERE IS A LOT OF TRIAL AND ERROR AND THAT IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. IF YOU LIKE THE KIND OF SURVIVAL GAME LIKE RAFT WHICH IS A VERY MUCH SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR TO THIS GAME WHERE YOU ARE LITERALLY OUT AT SEA FOR MOST OF THE TIME BUT STILL HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT FOOD AND WATER AND CLEANLINESS. DAYZ TAKES PLACE IN A POST APOCALYPTIC RUSSIAN CITY OR AREA AND YOU HAVE TO FIGHT ZOMBIES AND STAVE OFF HUNGER, THIRST, AND OTHER AILMENTS LIKE TEMPERATURE AND BLOOD AND HEALTH, APPARENTLY ON YOUTUBE THERE’S SOME GOOD NARRATED STORY RUNS OF THE GAME, THAT I MIGHT TRY TO DO. I JUST STARTED STREAMING IT MYSELF OVER ON MY CHANNEL.
Tech/Interesting Learning Curve: VTUBERING UPDATE/SEMI UPDATEISH- VTUBING IS A ART FORM THAT I HAVEN’T MASTERED YET. THERE’S THE MAIN THING THAT IS HOLDING ME UP IS PAYING THE ARTIST TO FULLY RIG AN AVATAR THAT I CAN USE AND THEN PLUG THAT INTO A PROGRAM. I ASSUME WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS AS MORE ATTENTION IS DRAWN INTO THE TOPIC YOU WILL HAVE MORE OPTIONS OPEN TO YOU ON HOW TO GET ONE INSTEAD OF PAYING AN ARTIST ON FYVERR/TWITTER $600 WHEN THAT IS TO ME A VERY STEEP PRICE FOR UNKNOWN RETURNS.
